The challenge this week was a choice of either black and white or winter.
February in Southern California is spring no matter what the calendar says so I chose black and white.
I love the way these daisies look in black and white.
I added light to the first one using an led light which gives it a softer, more delicate look.
I shot both photos in color then converted them to black and white using Photoshop.

Thanks Janet!
I’m in love with the first one. What a great idea to use the LED light. The flower looks almost transparent. Nice job on both photos!
Thanks Meghan! I enjoyed your motorcycle parts posting. Next time I need to do something other than flowers.
Thanks! Flowers are pretty great subjects though.
Agreed. I find them endlessly fascinating. 🌸

The first image of the daisy is sweetly captivating. The soft rendering with the LED lights gives it an ethereal quality. It’s almost like an illustration. Well done. Happy Phoneography Challenge.
Thank you Sally! ☺️
